Volunteers
Find out what you can do to promote and work in Catholic Media
Volunteers are needed to help out at some of these Parish Book Exhibits.
If you’re parish is listed in the next column, email or call me if you’d like to get involved at one or more of the weekend Masses. Contact me even if
your parish is not listed, but you would like to help in the distribution of religious books and articles.
Do you have computer or other communication and media skills or interests?
Let me know about these things and your interests. There’s lots of work to be done in Catholic Media. I could use some serious
help as I set up a new Bar-Code book and stock tracking system on my computer. I have a start on this, but I have a far ways to go inputting our list
of books and religious supplies, ISBN numbers, item numbers, as well as figuring out how all these components work together. I need guidance as I figure
out how the hand held bar code scanner communicates information with the Red Beam Inventory Tracking program on my computer.
Authors & Illustrators: Do you have a published work you would like promoted at our Exhibits?
I’d like to discuss the possibility of having you present your books in person, sign and work on a consignment basis. Book
content must be compatible with, and respecting of, general family values.
Email me using the click at the top of the page, call or write me.

Nov. 16 ~ 12:30pm Native American Heritage celebration
November has always been designated as Native American Heritage month to recognize the contributions of the Native Americans in this country.
The Congress of the United States declared the Friday after Thanksgiving as "Native American Heritage Day." This was signed into law by President George
W. Bush on October 8, 2008.
In further celebration and recognition, the Diocese of Rapid City and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will both be remembering in prayer the weekend of November 15 and 16th,
the Native Americans in their dioceses.
We are delighted to share this prayer with all our relations for use in keeping our people in their mass intention:
"Blessings and thanks to you, Almighty and Great Father, for the care and guidance you have provided the Native American Nations and for
the gifts these First Nations present to the Churches, for their acts of selfless service in the protection of these lands and of all who
now live here, in gratitude, we pray to the Lord."

Pastors and Parish Staff Leaders: Call Bro. Joshua Seidl @ 1-718-0047 or email me (top of page) if you would like to book a book exhibit at
your parish. We serve the region around New York City and neighboring New Jersey. We have over 1400 titles in spanish (libros en Espanol) in
addition to our English language books. This is an excellent opportunity for folks to obtain Catholic reading materials, lives of the Saints, and
sacrament preparation reading, Scripture study aides, prayer books, devotions, Novenas, rosaries and other Religious goods for home use.
No Parish Exhibits during the Month of August
More posting are pending. Please do not call the Parishes for information regarding the book sale information or to see if I will be there.
The parish does not set my schedule. Contact me about a week in advance of a given exhibit to see if I will be working the Parish of your choice.
